Final Frames, Intro: Israel’s Got More Than One Giant-Killer
This teaching is part of the “Final Frames” series, a compilation of Bible studies Daniel taught in his final weeks as the Coastlands’ Senior Pastor in late-2006. The Scriptures shared in this series were pivotal in Daniel’s life and helped form his ministry.
Most of us are very familiar with the story of David and Goliath, and how the humble little shepherd boy who killed the giant Philistine went on to become Israel’s greatest king. But did you know that Goliath had at least four sons, also giants? And that they were killed, not by David, but by four of his men? There will always be giants in the land; there will always be a need for another giant killer.
Drawing from an obscure passage in 2 Samuel, Daniel explains the significant transition that is now underway at The Coastlands, and the challenge to each of us as we go forward to possess more of the land.
