Commended to The Word is an extension ministry of The Coastlands, Aptos Foursquare Church near Santa Cruz, CA. It began during Daniel’s 22-year tenure as senior pastor, and now launches into a new season of expansion as he has stepped aside from leading the church to focus exclusively on developing resources to mentor believers in spiritual leadership.The expression “commended to the word” comes from Acts 20:32. Paul commends spiritual leaders “to God and to the word of His grace which is able to build you up and to give you the [kingdom] inheritance…” Our materials are unabashedly based on the Bible, and they focus mostly on increasing believers’ maturity, ministry and discernment.
